Mission Statement

There are many references to fire in the Bible. God provided a pillar of fire for the Israelites to travel by in the wilderness. This same God looked like a consuming fire at Mount Sinai. The Holy Spirit first appeared in the New Testament as tongues of fire falling from Heaven.
In our modern-day world, the fire references the Holy Spirit and his movement. There have been several songs, especially praise and worship tunes, written about fire. Light the Fire Again, Consuming Fire, Church on Fire, and Send the Fire are all works that talk about fire, but they focus on different aspects. In the same way, the different scriptural references to fire don't all mean the same thing.

To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming
         fire on top of the mountain.
             -Exodus 24:17 (NIV)

This scripture references God's glory, comparing it to an all-consuming fire. The main purpose of CF Ministries is to bring glory to the God who is like a fire.

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand
         when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a
         launderer's soap.
             -Malachi 3:2 (NIV)

Gold is a very precious, expensive metal, but it must first be refined. This is done in a fire. The gold is melted in a crucible, then the impurities can be skimmed off the top. CF Ministries desires to act as a vessel, a melting pot. God provides the flame, we provide the vessel. We want, through this ministry, to reveal impurities in your life.

"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were
         already kindled!
             -Luke 12:49

This most obvious comparison is to the fire of the Holy Spirit. CF Ministries longs to see revival fire fall upon the church. Whether Lutheran, Baptist, or Pentecostal, God is waiting to pour out his spirit, and we want to work with God to spread the word: Revival is coming!

Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire
         and save them.
              -Jude 1:22-23 (NIV)

Finally, CF Ministries wants to snatch the unsaved away from the fires of Hell.
