Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT):
"But forget all that--it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?"

Isn't that exciting? God tells us here that, though he's done some incredible things in the past, he's ready to do something even more impressive. But the text also says, "Do you not see it?"
Do we see it? Do we realize what God wants to do for us? He's expecting such a huge response; he's almost sure that he's made it obvious enough that even the blind can see it. How dissapointing when we reject his gift because we don't realize it's there!
Later in the chapter, there's the passage, "You have not brought me fragrant incense or pleased me with the fat from sacrifices. Instead, you have burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your faults." In Revelation, the prayers of the saints are referred to as incense.    Maybe now, instead of turning our backs on what God is holding out to us, we'll seek him with all of ourselves. God is so ready to do something big, and all we have to do is seek him for it!
